I'm an urban plain Quaker ... with a JD - which relates to my favorite quote regarding myself, Ron Kuby (on Lorcan Otway) "A Juris Doctorate is a terrible thing to waste..." What else can I say? I always refer to my understanding and darling wife as my better 3\4. Sells her short to say my better half... My dear lamented late friend, Arthur Kinoy, when he was the last living lawyer who had defended the Rosenbergs said, "The Civil Rights Movement died the day we stopped singing." So here I am, left to sing about it... Lor

Gee! Sounds like such a great idea.
I find I'd really like a blog we all could post to (that would be like a newsgroup, no?) Rather than having each our own and commenting, though each has its plusses and minuses.
Anyway, it would be lovely to see this get going.
I've been looking, myself for more in depth discussions of plain dress and its spiritual significance. I'm drawn to it, but I think from a different direction. Right now I wear preferably brightly colored clothes bought at thrift stores. That works and it doesn't....
